5 – 6:30pm
$20
PAC Center, 129 Park Ave, Swarthmore
An invitation into the creative process of works in progress in solo spoken word performance that trace the arc of human experience through voice and word.
This is an evening of artists shaping something new, asking questions in real-time, and sharing their thoughts in a public forum.
Part I: The Iliad
A solo performer brings Homer’s Iliad to life in a visceral, cathartic retelling of the epic that shaped Western literature and living questions we still wrestle with today. What are the consequences of our journeys? What does it cost to endure?
Part II: Micro-Memoir
A second performer offers a quiet, piercing counterpoint—reading from personal micro-memoirs. This part invites reflection: What compels us to share, create, and connect?
Together, these two performances ask us to listen and join artists in the work of becoming.
Join the artists after the performance for a discussion of both works-in-progress.
