An amazing thing that has come out of starting RLA is hearing from new and interesting people. And in an odd way, in RLA being so personally mine, it’s allowing me to listen a whole lot better to other people and their path. I think the difference is when I was producing, the need to get “the thing” produced was so consuming that I needed at all times to look around for any bit of extra attention anyone else could afford, and I had to capitalize on that.
But with RLA being, let’s be frank, a very selfish endeavor, it’s much easier to let it be exactly where it should be at the moment – it’s where I am after all. And there is then so much room for me to be interested in others. It’s freeing.
