Mary Beth Rim
My first memory of radio was in the early 1980s. Mary Beth Rim, that’s me, a young girl then, is cuddled under an old blanket in the back of a brown station wagon. My family is driving home after having spent a fun day at Grand Mom and Grand Pop Gold’s house. It is dark outside, Mystery Theatre is playing on the radio, and although spooky, I remember feeling cozy and safe, mesmerized by the voices on the radio. A perfect moment actually.
Back to the present day, I am a tax accountant, who’s life is tremendously enhanced by creating with other like minded artists. Over the last several years, the radio plays I’ve either watched or acted in, have provided me with an abundance of joy, laughter and friendship.
