Well. It’s an embarrassment of riches, to be sure, but I am currenlty working on 3, count ‘em three, projects. I think they’re all pretty cool.
Dr. Birne and the Secret Voice
This is the first one, and in so many ways the impetus for this version of RLA, thinking about what it can offer, and what I am excited to do. Dr. Birne and the… is an old school radio thriller - a mysterious Dr. Birne, voiced by Robert Smythe, is a professor of the occult, and he and his new partner John Marlowe travel the land in between this world and the the otherworlds. Show is coming in July, 2026. Pretty exciting stuff!
Next up: The Spoon River Anthology Exhibit
This on is in it’s planning stages, but it will be really and installation audio/art piece, where you explore the fictional town of Spoon River through the connected poems of Edgar Lee Masters. Spoon River Anthologies was a major work in American literature, and was a great influence to Thorton Wilder, Sherwood Anderson, and others. It should be a very different experience for RLA fans. Mysterious new project with my son, Sebastian!
Sebastian is home for the summer from college and, thankfully, bored already and suggested we co-write a serial project together For those with adult children, you know this is pretty awesome. More soon, and we hope to turn it into a podcast audio experience.
